The mission of the Michael J. Marshall Jr. Memorial Foundation is to preserve Mikey’s legacy by creating meaningful initiatives that inspire joy, ambition, and connection. We are dedicated to giving back to the community through charitable donations, supporting local organizations, and assisting families facing unexpected loss, ensuring that Mikey’s spirit of generosity and adventure lives on.
WE ARE DEDICATED TO:
Expanding and enhancing the current playground at Clifford H. Marshall Elementary School to build "Aviator Park," an aviation-themed play area that encourages imagination, adventure, and exploration.
Supporting local sports organizations, reflecting Mikey’s lifelong passion for athletics. He was an enthusiastic fan of Boston’s teams and spent his childhood playing both hockey and baseball. Mikey was also an avid golfer and spent several years as the head golf coach at CM, where he shared his love of the game and mentored countless young athletes
Bringing together family, friends, and the community to celebrate Mikey’s life through our annual Michael J. Marshall Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament.
Supporting families navigating the profound grief of losing a loved one unexpectedly. Our foundation plans to partner with organizations that offer resources to help and comfort those in their most challenging moments.
Providing financial assistance, scholarships, and mentorship opportunities to aspiring pilots and students looking to enter the aviation field. Recognizing that becoming a pilot is a long and expensive journey, we are committed to helping young individuals achieve their dreams of flight and ensuring that Mikey’s passion for aviation continues to inspire future generations.
Aviator Park
Aviator Park will not only be a place for children to play but also a symbol of Mikey’s unwavering positivity. It will stand as a beacon, reminding all who visit that “Attitude Is Everything”—a lesson Mikey embraced from his beloved grandfather and carried throughout his life. The park will be an extension of the existing playground at Clifford H. Marshall Elementary School in Quincy, named in honor of Mikey’s grandfather, continuing a legacy of dedication to children, community, and inspiration.
